Emerging from the well lit streets and maisonettes of Castle Donington, Nethaniel combines a love for radio with venomous ambition and ruthlessness.
While completing a course in Music Technology and Popular Music, his first work experience of radio came when he got a confirmation e-mail telling him that he’d been accepted to work voluntarily for Huddersfield Hospital Radio. Spending two years at the Hospital Radio, Nethaniel gained valuable experience in understanding the technical engineer demands of the station. Within months he was delighted when the opportunities arose to self present and produce live on air a regular weeknight show.
In addition to Hospital Radio, Nethaniel gained more radio work experience at a community radio station in Halifax called Phoenix Radio. The experience enabled him to draw comparisons between the two organisations and their management of funding, resource and activities.
Since being at Bournemouth University studying MA Radio Production, Nethaniel has not only found an interest in co-presenting and co-producing different styles and genres of programmes, but has also taken kindly to radio drama, as he hopes to produce some for Birst very soon.
