Tom was conceived in a field in Surrey during the Summer of Love, 1980, and was born soon after. He quickly decided upon a Law degree at Exeter University, which seemed like a good idea at the time, and after some of the most wildly dull, life-sapping temp jobs, remembered with a teary eye those days at Xpression FM, deciding the MA Radio Production at Bournemouth was the obvious next step. Tom has worked with such radio greats as Zoë Ball, Christian O’Connell and ‘that singer from the Levellers’ but doesn’t really like to talk about it. In his spare time Tom enjoys the cultivation and promotion of beards and listening to pre war old-timey jug band, hillbilly-rag, hokum, and foot-stompin’ washtub-thumpin’ country music. When he grows up, Tom wants to be a cowboy named ‘Dutch’ and create award-winning radio masterpieces simply to satisfy his muse.
