I became interested in radio through music and drama. At university I sang and played guitar in an indie rock band…in order to avoid studying philosophy. When I wasn’t doing that, I was involved in theatre productions – acting or on the sound crew (also in order to avoid studying philosophy). I then taught English in Thailand and Brazil before returning to the UK, determined to work with music/sound again.
As a producer for BIRSt I’ve become interested in making various different kinds of programmes, from music documentaries to experimental features. Plans for the future – to keep on making radio…
