Mark discovered his passion for radio under the sheets aged 10. Having worked on various RSLs he now hopes to make a living out of radio. Mark believes that radio is the communication medium of the future.
“We must redefine the genre, now is the time to tear up the rule book and experiment with style, form and structure. Radio needs to develop and build new audiences. I hope commissioning editors and programme controllers will kick-start this process with courageous programming together with innovative marketing”.
Mark would like to see a piece of audio shortlisted for the Turner Prize, to elevate radio to its rightful status within the arts world.
Listeners will be pleased to know that Mark now indulges his passion for radio in a more appropriate place.
