In 2012 David Norris (centre rear of photo, wearing blue shirt) and Gary Dobson were convicted of murdering Stephen Lawrence. As they were juveniles at the time of the offence, they were sentenced to be ‘detained at Her Majesty’s pleasure’, the equivalent of a life sentence.
