Hi, my name is Alan Brown I’m from Poole, Dorset and I work here in the Bournemouth Media School, teaching Audio Production skills. I’ve been playing around with sound since the age of 12. I am looking forward to making Radio programmes and getting something on BIRSt at last! Update: During my time on BIRSt I have had two radio programmes broadcast on Soundart Radio 102.5 FM. Also one of my programmes won an award at BEA (Broadcast Education Awards), Las Vegas. Since finishing the course I’ve been teaching Radio production techniques to students here at Bournemouth University. Including writing, recording, editing, mixing and mastering sound using Adobe Audition, SADiE and Burli. Studio operations, playout systems, acquisition with portable recorders, creating and deploying audio for the web, and Radio history. I also curate the BIRSt archive.
