In the final programme made for BIRSt this year by Kieren, he brings you the show he toyed with in his first rehearsal for BIRSt.
Back in October he rented out the studio to fiddle with knobs, press buttons and generally make a mess of the place, whilst mock-presenting a documentary on one of his favourite bands, The National. He revisits the concept of the show here, playing tracks from the band’s back catalogue and introducing the listener to one of America’s greatest exports of this century. Including tracks from Boxer, Trouble Will Find Me and his favourite album High Violet, as well as fun and games with Steve – the uni friend who introduced him to the band – this is A Brief History of… The National.
