BIRSt 2012 launched with a bang on the 24th of February! Pushing the green button to officially launch the station was Practicioner in Residence at Bournemouth University, Maria Williams. With Maria having production credits at BBC Radio 1, 2 and 4, where she was the Deputy Editor of Woman’s Hour and created Saturday Live, she was the perfect person to kick off BIRSt. Felicity Prior asked about her career, setting up Sound Women and what Maria thinks about BIRSt!
