Played in various bands over the last 18 years including Dodgy, The Lightning Seeds, Gene, Electric Soft Parade, The Icicle Works, The Yellow Moon Band and Sgt Peppers Only Dart Board Band.
Presented a Saturday morning breakfast show on BBC GLR in the late 90’s called The Crack at Dawn for 14 months until the changeover to predominantly speech based BBC LDN
Researched and presented an 8 part series on Northern Soul (Where’s Wigan – The Londoner’s Guide to Northern Soul) on GLR, where I interviewed everyone from Marc Almond and Kevin Rowland to Steve Craddock and Norman Cook
Am a contributor to BBC Five Live and BBC 6Music on Steve Lamacq, Liz Kershaw and Chris Hawkin’s shows. I also narrated a documentary on ‘The Stourbridge Sound’ for the station in 2002.
Co-wrote my own show at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2008, Two Drummers Drumming. We broke even.
Appeared on the TV show ‘Never Mind The Buzzcocks’ three times. Some would say, before it was funny.
Currently manage the Panama Kings from Belfast, used to manage Misty’s Big Adventure from Birmingham.
Currently co-present Live and Local on Spire FM on Sunday evenings.
