It never occurred to me I could do this for a living until quite late on, so after taking my A Levels in History, Biology and Chemistry, I went to college to study Performing Arts (with much more success than the A Levels, it has to be said!) I completed my first degree in Drama at Liverpool JMU and gravitated toward radio through the drama and comedy path.
From the lovely city of Liverpool I went back home to Wales and tried to get as much experience as I could. I spent some time with BBC Radio Wales in Cardiff, Radio Glamorgan based at the University Hospital of Wales, and Beats FM (now Radio Cardiff) which is a community station aimed at Cardiff’s culturally diverse communities.
Doing this course feels like being in love – only better! I hope you enjoy what you hear.
